Main responsibilities

As Chief Risk Officer for Aviva Investors, Jeff is responsible for leading the global Risk and Compliance functions.  He is responsible for the development and oversight of the risk management framework at Aviva Investors to ensure that risks are effectively identified and managed, as well as for developing the risk culture across the business.

Experience and qualifications

Prior to Aviva Investors and since 2021, Jeff was Group Chief Compliance Officer for M&G Investments for all UK entities and had responsibility for a Compliance team of over 60 people across the UK, Europe, US, Singapore, and South Africa. Jeff sat on the Executive Committee for the business and had a dual reporting line into the CEO for the Investments division, and the Group Risk and Compliance Officer for M&G plc.

Jeff has previously spent eleven years with Aberdeen Asset management ultimately becoming the Chief Risk Officer for EMEA region.

Jeff was hired into M&G to restructure the Compliance function where he redesigned the Advisory and Compliance monitoring teams, integrated a new technology platform, and developed the Compliance function to be a trusted advisor to the business.

Jeff has a BA in Economics from Assumption University.
