Seeing is believing
True inclusion takes place in actions not words. So when you see a workforce that reflects the diversity of the clients it serves and communities it operates in, you can believe in a commitment that’s real, integral and designed to drive positive change.
At Aviva Investors you can see diversity in action across the firm. We aren’t doing this simply because it’s the right thing to do. Our commitment rests on a sound business case: the more diverse we are, the more successful we are. Put simply, we believe greater diversity leads to fresher thinking and more innovative solutions. Equal parental leave
Why should dads be limited to a frantic fortnight at the start to bond with their newborn? For over five years we’ve offered 26 weeks’ paid equal parental leave for all employees*, regardless of gender, sexual orientation or how they became parents.
More and more parental leave has been taken since we launched this initiative, with men making up nearly half of all leave-takers.

Career Returners programme
We’ve been proudly welcoming female finance professionals back into the investment sector since 2018. The programme is run in partnership with Women Returners, who are experts in supporting senior women returning to the workplace after an extended break.
Participants are given the skills refresh, acclimatisation and networking platform to be back at their peak in just six months. In a few short years, this valued programme has become a crucial talent pipeline for us.
Gender, ethnicity and pay
Our pay gaps are some of the most important inclusion metrics we report - clear benchmarks against which we can hold ourselves to account and track our progress.
At this point, progress is steady but slow. Pay gaps still exist because different groups are represented unequally in our business. We still have too few women in senior roles and ethnic diversity across the business is too low. However, we are committed to taking the time to fix under-representation, correct our pay gaps and build a truly equal workforce.
A celebrated workplace
We don’t do it for the awards but we do appreciate the recognition. In recent years Aviva Investors has been noted as a Times Top 50 Employer For Women, a Living Wage and Living Hours Employer, a Disability Confident Employer, a Stonewall Top 30 Gold Employer and a member of the Social Mobility Foundation’s Employer Index.
